Job Title: Plant-Based Director Dietitian

We are a national plant-based RD virtual private practice. Since 2007, we have been committed to helping our clients achieve their health goals through plant-based, wholesome eating using natural food and organic supplementation. Our areas of expertise include weight management, high blood pressure management, high cholesterol/triglyceride management, nutrition for pregnancy, diabetes, RI, teen/child/infant nutrition, nutrition for optimal health, and disordered eating including compulsive and emotional overeating.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Plant-Based Dietitian to lead our dynamic team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for interviewing and hiring new staff, training and overseeing RD staff, leading team meetings, performing quality assurance, and counseling patients as needed. You will also work with interns and volunteers, update policies and procedures, and craft educational materials.

Availability:

  • Full Time

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM PST, and Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Staff Management: Interview and hire new RD staff, train new hires, oversee current RD team, and manage RD scheduling.
  • Team Leadership: Lead RD team meetings, coach staff, and perform disciplinary tasks as required.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure quality standards are met and maintained across all services provided.
  • Intern and Volunteer Coordination: Collaborate with interns and volunteers, providing guidance and support.
  • Content Development: Craft engaging plant-based handouts in both English and Spanish, and update training materials and videos.
  • Policy Updates: Regularly review and update policies and procedures to maintain best practices.
  • Patient Counseling: Provide nutrition counseling to patients when necessary, utilizing motivational interviewing techniques.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Must be a registered dietitian.
  • Proven experience in nutrition counseling is mandatory.
  • Knowledge and experience with vegan or plant-based eating patterns are required.
  • Must possess excellent time management and multitasking skills.
  • Must be computer savvy, with the ability to use dual monitors.
  • Must have a private work area and high-speed internet (minimum 20mb/s).
  • Exceptional communication skills in speaking, reading, and writing.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in Telehealth nutrition is preferred.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish is preferred.
