This position is responsible for performing radiography (x-ray) examinations to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. The role may also involve conducting exams in more complex modalities.

  • Minimum Qualifications
    • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
    • Licenses/Certifications: Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support, current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), and Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R)
  • Experience/Knowledge/Skills: Ability to lift and maneuver patients, perform quality assurance on radiology equipment, and demonstrate commitment to compassionate and personalized care
  • Principal Accountabilities
    • Perform radiography exams, ensuring compliance with radiation safety procedures
    • Enter and monitor patient data
    • Assist with initial and renewal application for ACR and other accreditation
    • Identify and report accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunction
    • Take emergency call within the department and work weekends as needed
    • Administer breath alcohol tests and/or urine drug screens
    • Perform patient registration tasks such as verifying insurance and collecting payments
    • Promote individual professional growth and development through meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education
    • Demonstrate commitment to caring for every member of the community by providing compassionate and personalized experiences
