Your Role and Responsibilities
This opportunity is for a back-end and / or full stack developer on the Power Hybrid Cloud development team to deliver new features, improvements and business value to the Power Hybrid Cloud Offerings such as Power Virtual Server. This role requires strong technical and problem-solving skills, the ability to collaborate with cross functional and cross geographical teams, and knowledge of cloud technologies. The ideal candidate for this position will have background in software development, agile methodologies and DevOps practices, be motivated to acquire new skills and achieve results in a fast-paced environment and be client-focused and passionate about new technology. The candidate should be interested in Cloud Engineering and its impact on greater business practices.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Strong understanding of software development concepts
• Knowledge in these programming languages: Golang, Java, Python, C++ or Ruby.
• Experience with open-source technology and system engineering.
• Knowledge of Cloud DevOps tools: Git, Jenkins
• Basic knowledge of operating systems such as Linux
• Familiarity with APIs (i.e., REST APIs)
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
• Experience in a Cloud Engineer role or related position.
• Experience in JSON, Web Services
• GraphQL on server side; RESTful Applications
• Database experience including knowledge of SQL and NoSQL, and related data stores such as Postgres.
• Understanding of virtualization concepts

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
