Software Development Leader for Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at the Texas Institute for Electronics, located in the heart of Austin. Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for helping the software and controls development efforts related to semiconductor manufacturing equipment and processes that define the future roadmaps of semiconductor logic, memory, heterogeneous integration, and chip cooling.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conducting software development for novel semiconductor manufacturing equipment
  • Assisting in researching and procurement of various equipment sub-systems
  • Performing other related duties as assigned
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have strong software development skills in a variety of languages, including C, C++, Python, or some other combination of low-level and high-level languages. You should also have expertise with MATLAB, Simulink, or related control and simulation software, and a strong understanding of software structure, architectural design, and object-oriented programming, as well as build systems, revision control, and software lifecycle management. Five years' experience in software engineering or other relevant disciplines is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a research or start-up environment
  • Prior experience in software development for hardware control and instrumentation
