Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Azure DevOps Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for a DevOps manager who is passionate about automating and optimizing software development processes using Azure DevOps. This position will directly oversee the development team's implementation, deployment, and integration of solutions. The DevOps Manager has a leadership role in strategizing and streamlining the software delivery process.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Software Development: In-depth knowledge of software development and software development lifecycle.
  • Azure: Experience with Azure and Azure DevOps implementation and administration.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Management: Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment and well-versed in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure Pipelines, or GitLab CI/CD to automate the build, test, and deployment process.
  • Infrastructure as a Code (IaC): Expertise in Infrastructure as a Code (IaC) provisioning and managing infrastructure through code, using Terraform or Azure resource management templates.
  • Containerization Technologies: Knowledge of Azure DevOps containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Version Control Systems: Expertise in version control systems like Git and Azure Repos, ensuring proper code management, versioning, and collaboration with dev teams.
  • Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash is necessary to automate repetitive tasks and build efficient workflows.
  • Engineering/DevOps Management Experience: At least 5 years of experience managing software engineering or DevOps team.
  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar experience.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication and strong problem-solving skills are essential to working with cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-solving: Addressing technical hiccups between software development and operations and finding practical solutions to keep projects on track.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
  • Application Performance Monitoring: Skilled in monitoring and logging, Azure Monitor, App Insights or ELK stack tools.
  • SAST/DAST: Experience with static and dynamic application security testing using Fortify or SonarQube.
  • Agile Methodologies: Knowledge of methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, is advantageous for Azure DevOps engineers as it promotes development and facilitates faster delivery.
  • Security and Compliance: Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks. Software audits including but not limited to SOC-2, NIST and FISMA.
  • Scripting Languages: Python, Perl, DOS Batch Scripts, VBScript, TypeScript and JavaScript.
  • Cloud Service Knowledge: Working knowledge of platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for deploying and managing applications.
  • Sponsorship: Candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card due to the type of work that will be performed as a Federal Contractor.
