Job Summary
The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and orchestrating the technical delivery of Hirsch’s products and services. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, team leadership, and operational management skills to ensure efficient and high-quality delivery of technology solutions and team alignment with organizational goals.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Execute strategic plans in alignment with the company's objectives. This involves refining technical roadmaps, setting goals, and implementing processes to achieve them efficiently.
- Lead and mentor a team of DevOps Engineers while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Lead the migration from manual AWS management to a fully automated IAC approach.
- Maintain a deep understanding of technological trends, tools, and methodologies. Provide technical guidance, support, and expertise to teams to ensure the adoption of best practices and optimal solutions.
- Drive operational excellence by optimizing processes, implementing best-in-class methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps), and identifying opportunities to enhance productivity and efficiency across engineering and operations functions.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration among internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners/vendors. Ensure transparency, alignment, and clear communication of goals and expectations.
- Identify potential risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Establish performance metrics and KPIs to evaluate team and project performance.
- Continuously assess and improve processes and workflows to drive efficiency and quality.

Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience with AWS
- Minimum of 2 years experience with Terraform
- Proven track record of adopting new technologies.
- Strong strategic planning skills, project management expertise, and the ability to analyze and resolve interdepartmental challenges.
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency in leveraging IAC methodologies for infrastructure management.
- Deep understanding of Git for version control and collaborative development environments.
Highly Desired Skills:
- Strong familiarity and practical usage of Terraform for defining and provisioning infrastructure as code.
- Experience with GitHub for source control and GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
- Familiarity with any IAC platform (e.g. SpaceLift, Env0, Scalr, Terrateam, Digger, Atlantis, etc).
- Experience with Disciplined Agile and DORA are both highly valued.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields is well regarded.

Pay & Perks:At Hirsch, we prioritize pay fairness. Your base salary plays a vital role in our comprehensive compensation structure, and it is established within a specific range. This structure allows for advancement as you gain experience and evolve in your role. Your salary and compensation will be determined based on various factors, including your geographical location, skill set, educational background, and work experience.
In the spirit of openness regarding compensation, the base salary range for this position is between $120,000 to $160,000.
