Position: Global Security Command Center Operator/SOC Operator Rate of Pay: Base $23 Schedule: Friday-Tuesday 2230-0630 Essential Functions: Operators are responsible for initiating a response to incidents and documenting their actions accordingly. Such incidents may include duress calls, power outages, medical emergencies, fire alarms, traveler assistance, employee terminations, inclement weather, terrorist activity, etc. These incidents will require the operator to interact with various high-level managers, security personnel, facility engineers and potentially law enforcement personnel. Management reserves the right to assign additional project work and tasks to supplement core functions. Operators are responsible for initiating a response to such incidents and documenting their actions accordingly. Such incidents may include duress calls, power outages, medical emergencies, fire alarms, traveler assistance, employee terminations, inclement weather, terrorist activity, etc. These incidents will require the operator to interact with various high-level managers, security personnel, facility engineers and potentially law enforcement personnel. Management reserves the right to assign additional project work and tasks to supplement core functions. Requirements 3 years' experience working in corporate security/law enforcement or a 4-year degree in a related field. Ability to pass all mandated company and site training requirements. Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations, including fire and medical related emergencies. Ability to make quick, well-informed decisions based upon a comprehensive knowledge of client policies and procedure. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks according to criticality. Schedule flexibility is required for this position, which includes holidays and weekends. Ability to handle sensitive company and personal information with discretion and in accordance with state and federal law. Sensitive information may include, but is not limited to, employee and contractor medical data, protection orders issued by the court and investigatory materials which could later be introduced at court proceedings. Must be able to assist internal investigations with cases pertaining to violations of company policy as well as violations of state and federal law. Investigations may require the review of recorded video, badge transactions, alarm history reports and other resources. Ability to work in a multicultural setting. Client maintains offices in over 30 countries worldwide. SCC operators assist individuals from various cultural backgrounds throughout the world seeking assistance on a variety of topics. Ability to enforce security policies while delivering a high level of customer service. Must possess superior communication skills. Operator will utilize instant messenger, email, telephone, radio, Incident Management tools daily to communicate with various business groups and individuals throughout the world. Must have experience working with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Word and be able to type 40 words per minute. Ability to master new computer applications is also required. Must be able to maintain knowledge of client's geographical locations and world events likely to impact business operations at all sites. Ability to self-start and work without immediate supervision. Must possess a working knowledge of security hardware or the ability to learn technical aspects of job function. Must possess reliable transportation. Based on operational need, operators may be required to work at another local location for short or extended period of times with little to no notice due to an emergency.
