General Summary: The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) is a professional who assumes responsibility for patient care for ages ranging from neonate to geriatric during a designated time frame. The FNP is accountable to the Clinic Practice Manager, Medical Providers, and Hospital Administration. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive patient care across a wide age range, from neonate to geriatric Assess, diagnose, and treat medical conditions Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care Maintain accurate and detailed patient records Educate patients and families on health conditions and treatment plans Perform procedures and treatments as required Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures Minimum Requirements: Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program leading to a master's degree and/or meets the Advanced Nursing Practice requirements set forth by the Mississippi Board of Nursing or the Mississippi Medical Licensure Board Appropriate certification and degree from a United States Institution of Higher Education Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Mississippi prior to beginning employment Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred Computer literacy Clear verbal and written communication skills Flexibility to work in other clinic settings as needed Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to interact with a variety of individuals on a wide range of topics Demonstrate the potential to perform the essential functions of the job Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Additional Information: Position Type: Full-time Shift: Designated time frame as assigned
