POSITION SUMMARY

The Radiology Technologist works as part of the clinic provider team and assists the Providers in the provision of primary health care. The technologist provides limited direct patient services and performs specifically designated independent procedure.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
  • Assists Providers in Healthcare activities and performance of diagnostic and procedures
  • The Radiology Technologist may NOT: 1. Administer any medications. 2. Start of administer IV fluid or IV medication. 3. Administer controlled substances/also cannot count or otherwise work with controlled substances. 4. Does not call-in medication orders for an MD, APRN, RNP, PA to a pharmacy. 5. Does not complete the monthly medication order.
  • Performs routine Radiology procedures as assigned by the Radiology Director.
  • Participates in the Center's TQI activities and performs duties in accordance with applicable standards.
  • Provide patient-centered service that is culturally and linguistically appropriate
  • Employ active listening techniques during interactions with patients, families, and team members
  • Use health information systems efficiently to manage and improve services at the individual and system levels and ensure the delivery of timely and accurate information
  • Participate in care team huddles to prepare and coordinate patient care activities
  • Performs other duties as assigned

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology.

Experience: At least one year experience in a medical setting.

Computer Skills: Microsoft Word and Excel; and customized software. Ability to learn and adapt to changing technologies as the organization changes.

Certificates & Licenses: Registered by the Registration Board for Radiology of the State of Arkansas, Kentucky or Mississippi.

Other Requirements: The ability to relate with effectiveness to all members of the health center; The ability to effectively perform several duties of the department and the ability to organize and achieve goals in a busy setting as well as effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
