Job Description

State Fire is currently looking for a full-time Fire Sprinkler Fitter based in San Antonio, TX. Ideal candidates have 5 years of experience with fire sprinkler systems.

Your role as a Fire Sprinkler Foreman will include the following responsibilities:

• Install various types of sprinkler systems, including wet pipe, dry pipe, pre-action, and deluge systems. This involves reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications to ensure the system is installed correctly.

Regional travel and overnights may be required.

• 8, 10 or 12 hour shifts, Monday - Friday.
Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience as a fire sprinkler fitter.

• High School diploma, or equivalent.

• Possess, or can obtain, any applicable state licensing.

• Knowledge of fire and building codes, OSHA, and other regulations pertaining to the job. MSHA preferred.

• Basic computer and software skills.

• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, with acceptable driving record.

• Must have and maintain an acceptable national criminal background check.

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment urinalysis test, and any further randomly selected tests.

• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

• Ability to work flexible hours and on-call, when necessary.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, kneel, crouch or stoop for prolonged periods.

• Ability to operate a motor vehicle.

• Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding and stairs.

• Ability to move about in areas with limited space and difficult access.

• Ability to safely lift, transport and place objects up to 70 pounds, without assistance.

• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors.

• Ability to use trade-specific power tools such as hand tools, saws, pipe cutters, etc.
