AMD together we advance_ Senior Product Application Engineer: System Solutions Architect Data Center GPU THE ROLE: The Senior Product Application Engineer: System Solutions Architect, Data Center GPU will play a critical role within the Data Center GPU group. This role is customer-facing and will focus on advanced customer engagement including strategy and portfolio planning, solution architecting and architecture enablement. This individual will play a critical role assisting Business Units on winning Data Center GPU designs around AMD’s current and next generation GPUs, serving as the technical and business subject matter expert on AMD AI capabilities, understanding customers unique support requirements and ensuring successful design-win. THE PERSON: The ideal candidate will possess great depth and breadth of capability and skillsets, including Data Center GPU product knowledge, Server system knowledge, Machine Learning applications and solutions, HPC applications and solutions, solid understanding in customer business model, great with customer relationship management, and strong leadership to drive progress with internal and external stakeholders. This person will be greatly self-driven, capable of operating autonomously through ambiguity, constantly striving for excellence. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Work closely with Business Unit Product Marketing Manager, Business Development Manager, Silicon and Platform architects, HW and FW/SW developers to enable and drive advanced customer engagement, that leads to successful customer Desing-Win closure. Primary technical contact point in customer engagements, evangelizing AMD data center GPU technologies/products and capabilities. Identify key players in the growing AI market and cultivate strong technical and business relationships. Drive and manage all pre-Design-Win efforts and deliverables, including complex Enterprise-class architecture and engineering engagement, capture & scope customer unique support requirements and justify business opportunities. Understand customer’s business strategy and drive AMD DCGPU roadmap alignment to it. Understand customer HW and FW/SW requirements, configurations, applications, workloads and architect solutions accordingly. Foster customer relationships and manage customer expectations to ensure needs are aligned with AMD business goals. Represent your account/customers, be a strong customer advocate internally. Be the trusted technical advisor for both Business Unit and Customers. Drive for highest levels of customer engagement and satisfaction PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Deep knowledge in Data Center GPU architecture, design and development Process Deep knowledge in Server product system architecture, design and development process Strong experience in the computing industry, at the OEM, ODM, or CSP level Substantial experience in a customer-facing role across multiple functions within a large organization. Experience with AI & HPC end customers a big plus. Knowledge of AI workloads and SW stack Outstanding communication and presentation skills Ability to multi-task and handle multiple simultaneous projects Results driven EDUCATION: BS, or higher, in Engineering (Computer or Electrical) LOCATION: Austin TX; Bay Area, CA #LI-RW1 #LI-Hybrid At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package.
