Port Hueneme, United States Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Full time

NAVFAC Information Technology Center (NITC) is looking for a highly motivated IT Customer Support Specialist to join their team. This position is located in Port Hueneme, CA at Naval Base Ventura County.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports management of software, software license, servers, and network storage and network devices in support of NAVFAC Business Systems
  • Proper disposal of any and all assets following disposition policies
  • Provides support for peripherals (printers, scanners, faxes, and other peripherals) and develop specifications and procurement strategy
  • Research, report, and update portfolio, records, and software license management in accordance with DOD and NAVFAC policies, processes and procedures
  • Update software, software license, servers, network storage, and network device baselines and maintain application portfolio inventory utilizing Navy and NAVFAC tools
  • Serve as the Activity Customer Technical Representative (ACTR), process Move/ Add/Changes (MAC), and Task Order Modifications
  • Administration of all Legacy computer systems and peripherals, including printers, scanners, etc.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information science, information systems management, mathematics, statistics, operations research, or engineering
  • 2 years of experience in an IT-related entry level position

  • US Citizen aged 18 or older at time of hire
  • Males registered or exempt from Selective Service
  • Determined suitable for federal employment (process includes a background check and fingerprinting)
