Genesis10 is currently seeking a Sr Product Owner with our client in the financial industry located in Atlanta, GA, Chandler, AZ, and Richmond, VA. This is a 12 + month contract position.

Responsibilities:
  • Understand and anticipate the needs of the stakeholders and customers with ability to translate business needs into requirements
  • ct as primary communicator and liaison between the stakeholders and the team and ensure all channels of communication are open as required
  • Define strategic and tactical vision for the product
  • nalyze needs and align product roadmap to strategic goals
  • Ensure that the team is always working towards delivering the highest business value
  • Inspect progress at the end of every iteration (sprint/PI) with complete authority to accept or reject work done
  • Capture stakeholder feedback during reviews to refine existing product backlog items or create new ones for future consideration
  • Change the course of the increment at the end of every iteration, as necessary, to ensure that the desired business value is delivered
  • Help the team prioritize risk mitigation and technical debt reduction
  • Convey the vision/objective and key results; and ensure it is understood by all stakeholders
  • Convey the objectives at the beginning of every release/iteration and ensure it is understood by the team
  • Write product backlog items along with acceptance criteri
  • Ensure the refinement of requirements (work) occurs so that the development team can confidently commit to the completion/delivery of work
  • Continuously prioritizing and sequencing the backlog to ensure that the team can deliver the highest business value iteratively and incrementally
  • Participate in the check-ins, planning meetings, reviews, retrospective and refinement as determined and defined by the team
  • Make the work visible and transparent to the team
  • Mitigate identified risk, taking inputs from all members of the team and prioritizing risk backlog items appropriately
  • Serve as product ambassador internally and externally, sharing knowledge and answering questions

Requirements:
  • 5 + years of experience in product development with demonstrated knowledge in product development, agile methodology and backlog management
  • Demonstrated experience of successful product release and subsequent user adaption
  • Understanding of business value related to features and functions
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • bility to effectively manage conflicting needs of stakeholders
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Experience influencing at senior levels across matrixed structures to drive outcomes
  • Experience in using tools such as JIRA/Confluence for managing backlogs

  • Proficiency with applicable project management tools and technology
  • Strong knowledge PowerPoint and Excel

Pay Range: $70.13 - $78.13
