What You'll Do
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care for individuals with work-related injuries, accidents, and disabling conditions such as back and neck pain, strains/sprains, fractures, and amputations.
- Treatment Planning: Evaluate and analyze patient case histories to develop and coordinate personalized treatment plans.
- Documentation: Ensure accurate documentation of patient care and adhere to reporting and billing procedures.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with patients, clients, adjusters, and team members.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on home exercises and proper care for supports and exercise programs.
- Therapeutic Services: Perform or supervise modalities, therapeutic exercises, gait training, hydrotherapy, and other treatments.
- Professional Development: Participate in center meetings and assist sales staff with tours as needed.
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service and demonstrate empathy towards patients.
- Knowledge and Skills:
- Principles, practices, and standards of physical therapy.
- Functional capacity and ergonomic evaluation.
- Evaluation and treatment in occupational medicine/injuries.
- Safety hazards and precautions for a safe work environment.
- Organizational policies, regulations, and procedures.
- Time management, planning, and workload control.
- Patient care records and report writing.
- Quality assurance and quality control standards.
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
- Qualifications:
- Degree from an APTA-approved school of physical therapy.
- Doctorate in physical therapy.
- Current License as a Registered Physical Therapist in the State.
- Current BLS (CPR/AED) or ACLS certification preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.
- Excellent telephonic manners and etiquette.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Ability to work independently without direct or onsite supervision.
