Physical Therapy Technician

Our physical therapy practice is looking for a permanent, full-time technician. The job duties are mostly to facilitate treatment with the physical therapists, however there is some clerical/scheduling involved. PT technicians should be comfortable with showing the patients exercises and guiding them through their programming. We're looking for an energetic team player that is open to taking their job seriously. The PT environment is one that involves patient relationships, so being a good conversationalist is a huge plus for this role.
Job Summary
Assists Physical Therapists in providing physical therapy exercise and modalities.
Facilitates the order and cleanliness of the areas designated for physical therapy treatments
General Accountabilities
Assists physical therapists in providing physical therapy exercises and modalities when appropriate.
Responsible for accepting guidance from Physical Therapists in provision of modalities and exercises, and must be in direct supervision of Physical Therapist when working with patients covered by Medicare/Medicare equivalent.
Instructs, motivates, and assists patients to learn and improve functional activities.
Observes patients during treatments and may present to Physical Therapist any concerns brought forth by the patient
Provides exercise instruction and correction on exercises prescribed to the patient, from the Physical Therapist.
Helps with keeping the clinic clean and organized
Under no circumstance will a Physical Therapy Aide provide programming to a patient without approval from the patient's primary Physical Therapist.
Responsible for maintaining inventory on supplies needed by Physical Therapy Aides/PT's and providing the list to management when new order is needed.
