Software Architect, Lead
The Opportunity:
At a certain point, software design can start to look like clairvoyance. You've developed so many organization-wide software architectures that you can not only orchestrate the best solution for any technical challenge, but you can also anticipate future concerns. That's because you're a software architect with a solid background in cloud, standalone, and cybersecurity. At Booz Allen, you can use those skills to improve the software technology supporting the DoD.
On our team, you'll translate your customer's software needs and future goals into a plan by developing and implementing effective software designs, architectures, and roadmaps. You'll use the latest software control systems like Git, Jira, and Confluence to design an effective software architecture. Your technical expertise will be vital as you create AWS and isolated software solutions using agile development processes and technologies such as Python, SQL or NoSQL, Docker, and Kubernetes.
In this role, you'll directly impact cybersecurity within the DoD by building a large-scale multi-domain enterprise processing and analysis system. With your advanced technical expertise, mentoring, and opportunities to learn new tools and skills, you'll guide a team that develops the best solutions for our customers.
Work with us as we transform the future of technology in the DoD for the better.
Join us. The world can't wait.
You Have:
- 10+ years of experience in full-stack application design and development, including implementation of relational or NoSQL databases, web-based APIs such as REST, and frontend frameworks such as React or Angular, in cloud-based environments
- 6+ years of experience developing backend solutions in Python
- 6+ years of experience architecting, designing, and developing software solutions on AWS infrastructure and platforms
- Experience deploying applications in containerized environments
- Experience working with or administering Linux environments
- Experience designing software in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment to solve complex problems for our clients using Agile methodologies, including Scrum or SAFe
- Experience using automated software testing frameworks, including PyTest or Junit
- Experience leading teams of developers
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree in a CS, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering field
Nice If You Have:
- Experience navigating a system through an Authority to Operate (ATO) process
- Experience working in the cybersecurity industry
- Experience developing reactive frontends using ReactJS
- Experience developing REST APIs using FastAPI
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- Master's degree in Software Engineering or a related field
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
