Job : Full Stack Engineer (Python, Java, Linux)
Location : Westlake, TX ONLY (hybrid 1 week/month)
Term : 12 month+ contract

Job Details

Required Skills:
  • 5+ years' experience solid programming/development in multiple languages - Python, Matlab, Perl, C++, Linux
  • Desire and interest in learning our 4GL FAME language, proprietary system
  • Need problem solver, enthusiastic to learn other languages, comfortable with data and calculations
  • Ideally would like financial services experience.

Interview Process: 1 round with Manager and 2 other members of team.

We have a phenomenal opportunity for a highly motivated Full Stack Engineer to build robust APIs & interfaces to improve current analytics distribution capabilities. You will collaborate with other development team members, analysts and architects in building applications and APIs to deliver the data
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
  • Bachelors or any equivalent degree with computer science, math or engineering background
  • Experience in Object Oriented Programming language like Java or Python
  • 8+ years of hands on software development experience in Web services and API solutions
  • Strong experience developing enterprise wide complex applications in Java-Spring Frameworks, Angular, NodeJS on a UNIX/Linux platform
  • Knowledge of and experience with Python (or ability/willingness to work with)
  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices and tools such as Jenkins, or Concourse
  • Experience with Source Control Repository tools such as Git and Stash
  • Experience developing applications using Python and UNIX shell scripting is a plus
  • Experience using AWS applications and AWS certifications is a plus
  • Understanding of Containers and Server-less architectures (AWS Lambda, Docker, EKS) is a plus
  • Experience working in Financial Services Industry is a plus but not required
The Team
The FFIO business unit crafts and maintains solutions and products that enable FFIO to provide accounting and investment management support services to Fidelity businesses and fund shareholders. As part of FFIO, Performance Attribution Product Area produces daily transaction-based attribution analytics at the holdings level for use by the application's dynamic consumers who include: Senior Investment Staff, Portfolio Managers, Chief Investment Officers, Research groups, Distribution Channels, Board of Trustees & Shareholders. We work closely with investment management teams to understand the investment process and drivers that support decision and formulate attribution models and analytics to support their needs.
