Technical Sales Consultant

Job Description
Works with Sales Account Managers when opportunities are identified. Serves as a technical product expert to develop and present sales proposals and systems solutions, and close complex technical sales. This may include attending customer meetings, performing site investigations and delivering presentations.
Support Pre-Sales Activities with prospects or assist customers in defining thier automation needs. A successful Solutions Consultant will have deep application, industry, product, technology or solution knowledge within one or more assigned focus areas, such as process automation, measurement and safety solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to RFI, RFQ, RFP.
- Lead remote and onsite Discoveries to determine requirements.
- Plan, configure, and integrate system demos to show how our solution meets the customer's mid- to long-term needs.
- Use your domain expertise as a resource to advise customers on our products, solutions and services.
- Analyze our competition's products and define our differentiators, as part of a specific solution.
- Plan and prioritize your work to meet commitments aligned with our goals.
- Adapt approach and demeanor in real-time to match the shifting demands of different situations.
- Learn through experimentation when solving new problems, using both successes and failures as learning fodder.
- Gain the trust of others through integrity and authenticity.
- Relate openly with diverse groups of people.
- Achieve results, even under tough circumstances.
- Build partnerships and work with others to meet shared goals.
- Maneuver through complex policy, process, and people-related organizational dynamics.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical related field, or equivalent experience in process automation
- Legal authorization to work in the US is required- we will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, not now or in the future, for this job opening.
- Ability to travel 25 to 50%

- Familiarity with outcome-based selling

- At least 8 years of Pre-Sales, Solution Deployment, Brownfield Projects, Product Experience, or Application Development in the Process Automation, Measurement or Functional Safety fields.
