Job Description:

The Quality Inspector inspects a range of components, parts and/or products for the area assigned

as prescribed by all applicable specifications and quality assurance instructions.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials and components at

various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards

  • Participates in gathering statistical data from product and processes

  • Performs visual inspections of soldered connections, mechanical inspections of electronic and

electro- mechanical assemblies and subassemblies

  • Visual inspections of soldered assemblies to IPC-A-610 Class 3 standards, and harness assemblies.

  • Prepares and completes all necessary documentation for reporting acceptance/rejection of inspected and/or tested items

  • Identifies design, process or other inefficiencies and reports quality concerns and issues

  • Performs routine quality inspections on engineering designs, assemblies, piece parts, final assemblies and tooling

  • Locate and utilize correct part, assembly, and material specifications or drawings.

  • Use tolerances and dimensions to required accuracy and precision.

  • Prepare certifications in accordance with appropriate regulation.

  • Filing of both hard copy and electronic records

  • Other responsibilities as assigned

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma/GED

  • 2-5 years related experience

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Read, write and understand English.

  • Ability to follow established job instructions and procedures with minimal supervision

  • Able to apply a systematic QA approach while using existing procedures to solve a range of technical

issues

  • Skilled at measuring and using test equipment as prescribed by job assignment

  • Must have intricate knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, assembly drawings, parts

lists, workmanship standards, standard inspection procedures, M.O."s, wiring diagrams and be able

to add tolerances using decimals, etc.

  • Must be able to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions, including engineering drawings,

charts, diagrams, and sketches

  • Proficient computer skills

  • Read written/printed specifications and drawings

Descripción del trabajo:

El Inspector de Calidad inspecciona una variedad de componentes, piezas y/o productos para el área asignada según lo prescrito por todas las especificaciones aplicables y las instrucciones de control de calidad.

Responsabilidades:

  • Realiza exámenes e inspecciones de control de calidad de productos, materiales y componentes en

diversas etapas del proceso de producción para garantizar el cumplimiento de los estándares establecidos de calidad y confiabilidad

  • Participa en la recopilación de datos estadísticos de productos y procesos.

  • Realiza inspecciones visuales de conexiones soldadas, inspecciones mecánicas de electrónica y

Conjuntos y subconjuntos electromecánicos.

  • Inspecciones visuales de ensambles soldados según estándares IPC-A-610 Clase 3, y ensambles de arneses.

  • Prepara y completa toda la documentación necesaria para informar la aceptación/rechazo de los artículos inspeccionados y/o probados.

  • Identifica diseño, proceso u otras ineficiencias e informa inquietudes y problemas de calidad.

  • Realiza inspecciones de calidad de rutina en diseños de ingeniería, ensamblajes, piezas, ensamblajes finales y herramientas.

  • Localiza y utiliza piezas, ensamblaje y especificaciones o dibujos de materiales correctos.

  • Utilice tolerancias y dimensiones con la exactitud y precisión requeridas.

  • Elaborar certificaciones de acuerdo con la regulación correspondiente.

  • Archivo de registros tanto impresos como electrónicos.

  • Otras responsabilidades asignadas

*Se requiere asistencia regular, consistente y puntual. Es posible que necesite trabajar noches y fines de semana, horarios variables y horas adicionales según sea necesario

Educación y experiencia:

  • Diploma de preparatoria / GED

  • 2-5 años de experiencia relacionada

Habilidades y conocimientos:

  • Leer, escribir y comprender inglés.

  • Capacidad para seguir instrucciones y procedimientos laborales establecidos con supervisión mínima.

  • Capaz de aplicar un enfoque sistemático de control de calidad mientras utiliza los procedimientos existentes para resolver una variedad de problemas técnicos asuntos

  • Hábil en medir y usar equipos de prueba según lo prescrito por la asignación de trabajo.

  • Debe tener conocimientos complejos de dimensionamiento y tolerancias geométricas, planos de ensamblaje y piezas.
