Job Posting

The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologist works with Medical Imaging leadership and department medical director to develop operating policies and procedures. Performs diagnostic and interventional exams and procedures within established guidelines. The MRI technologist serves as a role model and resource within the department.

Part Time / 0.9 FTE / Evening Shift

Monday-Wednesday 11:00am - 11:30pm

Qualifications:
  • AA/BA/BS degree through an accredited Radiology program required or has satisfactorily completed a formal military or hospital-based radiology technologist training program.
  • ARRT(R) registry required upon hire.
  • Washington State certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) is required upon hire. Biannual renewal of RT state license required by DOH and Overlake Hospital, with evidence of same by primary source verification.
  • ARRT(MR) advanced registry required within 6 months of employment as an MRI technologist
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a medical imaging technologist preferred. Previous hospital experience preferred.
  • Current/Maintain Healthcare Provider CPR required upon hire
  • Formal IV start training and annual competencies in IV starts as applicable for position.
  • Exposure to and contact with bodily fluids. For MRI technologists also assigned to CT, potential for exposure to ionizing radiation.
For Lead MRI Technologist Position:
  • Must have ARRT(R)(MR) and RT State license upon hire
  • For Lead position, a minimum of six months previous leadership experience preferred.
NOTE: Must facilitate the direct mailing of an official transcript verifying the successful completion of all courses necessary to satisfy the Structured Education requirements established by the ARRT for post primary pathway certification in MRI. This requirement is waived if candidate has already obtained the ARRT(MR) advanced registry.
