About Team:
Our team collaborates with Walmart International, which has over 5,900 retail units operating outside of the United States under 55 banners in 26 countries including Africa, Argentina, Canada, Central America, Chile, China, India, Japan, and Mexico, to name a few.

What you'll do:

  • Work with small groups of six to ten engineers in software development and design under the guidance of a technical lead using agile methodologies.
  • Coding : Write clean, scalable, and efficient code using best practices in software development.
  • Unit Testing : Develop and execute unit tests to ensure the quality and reliability of code.
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment : Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Problem solving : Troubleshoot and debug issues in software applications to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
  • Documentation : Document code, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintainability.
  • Adaptability : Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate new tools and practices into software development processes.
  • Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company standards of ethics and integrity.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in developing end-to-end software solutions using React for frontend and Java for backend, microservices based restful applications.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and frameworks like Spring Boot, and experience working with distributed systems and teams.
  • Experience in designing and developing customizable, reusable, and dynamic frontend components using ReactJS, Redux, JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, CSS, NodeJs. 
  • Ability to build products with focus on testability, someone who loves test coverage (well versed with Mockito and JUnit)
  • Experience building cloud native, distributed, high performant and scalable microservices.
  • Good understanding of Kubernetes, Helm, microservice architecture and design, and best practices around multithreading, networking, offline storage, and performance tuning
  • A disciplined approach to development, code review, testing, documentation, and code structure in a team environment.
  • Developing applications with relational databases like SQL, Postgres and No-SQL database such Cassandra, and Azure Cosmos DB. 
  • Experience with CICD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps.
  • Exposure working with cloud technologies such as Azure or GCP.
  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices, including Agile/Scrum.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Utilizing Industry Research and Innovation to build Next Generation systems to Improve Walmart Technology Environment.
