As part of a small, passionate, diverse, accomplished and rapidly evolving team of experts, you will assemble major launch vehicle structures, secondary structure, and other spaceflight systems. Responsibilities:

• Manufacture, assemble, and test New Glenn (GS1) First Stage Booster according to written procedures
• Setup new production work areas, including tooling and equipment
• Assist with transition from development to production, including first articles
• Perform second party verifications and hardware inspections to engineering models, drawings, specifications, and written procedures
• Work with engineering team to troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct malfunctions by modification, rework, repair, and/or maintenance
• Operate various material handling equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, aerial lifts, flight vehicle and subassembly transportation equipment, truck-trailer combinations and other ground support equipment as required
• Setup and operate a wide range of precision calibrated tools including, but not limited to, torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, and height gauges
• Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for area safety and efficiency
• Perform routine maintenance functions such as daily clean-up of work areas to support 5S, FOD, and ESD
• Ability to work off-shift, extended overtime, and weekends if/when vital
• Other duties as assigned or otherwise beneficial to fulfilling the mission and vision
• Work collaboratively with teams of diverse skills, fields, and background
• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion

Qualifications:

• 2 to 5+years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or another relevant field
• Experience in at least one of the following is desired: fluids and tubing install, instrumentation, general Aerospace/Launch vehicle assembly to include aero-structures.
• Interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions and test procedures
• Work collaboratively with teams of diverse skills, fields, and backgrounds
• Communicate clearly and appropriately, in writing and in person
• Basic digital literacy such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.
• Climb ladders/stairs and work in small, restricted areas
• Work at Heights on work stands and in lifts
• Perform repetitive work, including lifting of items up to 35lbs
• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion 
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Desired:

• Industry certification, trade school training, Military mechanical training, and/or degree in related field
• Proven success as a “hands-on” technical leader
• Work optimally with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities
• Continuous improvement attitude. Our job is never complete; we are always refining and improving
• Intense curiosity for understanding the details of our business and how to optimize it
• Experience in handling large aerospace components
• Experience in assembling large tight-tolerance structures
• Experience in new product introduction
• Experience in a team-based Lean Manufacturing environment
• Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification
• Ability to lift heavy items up to 50lbs
• Military experience
