Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Civil Engineer located in Fairfax, VA. As a Civil Engineer, you will support project planning, design, and implementation. You will research and analyze and design plans for commercial, residential, and institutional projects. You'll coordinate with the owner and other professionals, including architects, contractors, community, and government officials, to ensure timely and successful project completion. Work directly with clients to develop site plans, Manage the entitlement process and implement improvements; Manage project financials and production of the teams; Mentor young professionals; Provide design, project management and task management leadership to the team. You'll also play a vital role in evaluating existing processes to identify opportunities for improvement. With success, this individual will enjoy the rewards of a performance-based work environment that can offer an opportunity to buy into ownership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred)
  • Five to ten years experience
  • Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D,
  • Experience in Fairfax County and surrounding jurisdictions
  • Demonstrated knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices, including site planning, grading, stormwater management, and erosion control
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to balance multiple projects demands simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and build relationships across the organization.
  • Experience in land development, site planning, and construction administration
