About the Opportunity

DMI, LLC is seeking a Technical Project Manager to support a federal customer in the DC Metro area. This candidate will be responsible for the following.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must be capable of leading, providing and delivering technical and management support in the areas of application development.
  • Apply strong interpersonal skills to elicit understanding of complex, ill-defined problems and procedures; brief suggestions for improvement to senior leadership.
  • Facilitate relations between business groups and technology departments.
  • Work across functions to implement new standards and practices.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders across other programs and applications.
  • Provide direction, as needed, to the respective teams and other resources supporting the agile technology development projects.
  • Work with developers to support and resolve technical issues.
  • Provide timely updates and status to executive leadership.
  • Develop issue resolution recommendations for Executive leadership approval, as required.
  • The ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
  • Conforms to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proactively solve problems to ensure milestones are met and projects are completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:  

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related technical discipline.
  • At least ten (10) years of experience managing and delivering larger scale business and technology applications/products
  • At least three (3) years of experience with setting-up and leading application development teams.
  • Possesses strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) experience – and ability to lead agile software teams
  • Good experience in understanding data modeling, Java/JavaScript web application architecture, programming concepts.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and other CRM products available in the market.
  • Experience building cross-functional relationships with Program subject experts and Business Analysts to understand business needs.
  • Must have program management experience in large to mid-scale development projects.
  • Highly knowledgeable and practical expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), execution of Agile ceremonies and events (Sprint Planning, Stand-up, Refinement, etc), Agile artifacts (Sprints, Backlogs) and high level of proficiency in Agile tools (Confluence, JIRA, Visio, Azure Dev Ops, etc.).
  • Experience with Federal domain application development is preferred
