Description
Our client, a Wisconsin based construction firm offering services to industrial, commercial, and residential clients is seeking experienced Carpenters due to a surge in business. This role is based in Germantown, WI and works normal business hours - M-F - 7am-3pm in the SE WI area. Some OT and weekend work is offered at option and pays premium rates for these "off hours." We have both contract and full-time roles that pay $22-$32 per hour and include profit sharing, 401K and Medical/Dental/Vision paid at 50%.
The key to this role is 3+ years of rough and finish carpentry experience working with a variety of materials in the commercial/industrial and residential space.
The experienced Carpenter can expect:
- Performance of rough and/or finished carpentry including but not limited to wood and steel framing, doors, cabinets, and trim work.
- Safe working conditions and compliance with all safe operating procedures.
- Material management for each assigned project.
- Measurement and performance of layouts according to blueprints.
- Review and interpretation of contract drawings and specifications on assigned projects.
- Contribution to an atmosphere focused on communication, trust, and engagement of the team.
- Maintenance of accurate time records by code daily.
- A professional and courteous work environment.
- Attendance of all scheduled company meetings.
- 3+ years recent experience working as a Carpenter.
- Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints as well as performing layout.
- Ability to operate machinery, power tools, motor vehicles and heavy equipment.
- OSHA 10- or 30-hour training.
- Possession of own/entire set of hand tools.
- Proficient with smart phone for calls, emails, calendars as well as accessing files or documents.
- Prior experience using Google Docs, Google Drive and Google Calendar or similar programs preferred.
- Forklift and Aerial Lift Certifications preferred.
