The Senior Dev-Ops Engineer role is responsible for designing, developing, configuring, maintaining, automating, and testing computer software, automating repeatable processes, and tools used to accelerate and improve the software development lifecycle. This role combines software development and IT operations practices which shorten the systems delivery life cycle and provide a continuous delivery platform. By leveraging strong collaboration skills, the Incumbent Engineer effectively collaborates with Application Security Engineers, Quality Assurance Engineers, Platform Engineers, and Site Reliability Engineering roles to streamline processes and eliminate roadblocks to ensure effective delivery of DevOps practices. Build and manage the infrastructure and tooling used for continuous delivery Automate release, deployment, and upgrade processes Create and maintain pipelines for software releases and deployments Drive testing throughout the development, integration, deployment, and management of the software solution, and automating where possible to ensure solution quality and security Support the continuous refinement and prioritization of unplanned work Collaborate with other DevOps Engineers, Platform Engineers, Quality Assurance Engineers, and Security to streamline processes, eliminate roadblocks, and operate the system from end-to-end Provide ongoing solution support including incident and problem management, root cause analysis, request fulfilment, security compliance, fault repair, resiliency testing, and observability Review monitoring dashboards to understand system and environment performance, proactively maintaining system availability and reliability Conduct research and recommend cutting-edge technologies that align with DevOps best practices Education Required Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field. In lieu of a degree, at least 12 years of experience in automation, configuration management, and continuous integration and deployment Preferred AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, and/or Red Hat Certified Engineer Knowledge and Experience Required 5+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering, with a track record of implementing continuous delivery solutions in a containerization Experience with using automation tools Experience implementing and maintaining Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate relevant applications Excellent programming skills (i.e., Python, Bash, and PowerShell) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with Agile methodologies and SDLC Preferred Any Orchestration Engine Infrastructure as Code Architectural patterns and best practices Technical Skills Programming Languages Code Prompt Engineering Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Methodology Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) DevOps Methodology Software Packaging and Deployment Procedures Vulnerability Management and Remediation Software Testing & Quality Assurance Methodologies & Tools Version Control Tools Operating Systems Network Operations, Configuration and Services Automation & Configuration Management Tools Monitoring and Logging This position is not eligible for sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, including conversion to H1-B visa.
