What You'll Do:
As the Director, Channels & Partnerships, Payments you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our core offering, by identifying and developing key relationships with partners who can offer additional value to our customers and prospects via our payment solutions. Reporting to the SVP of Sales - Enterprise, this candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and broaden our partner ecosystem while fostering mutually beneficial relationships within the faith-based technology vertical.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing healthy, high-performing partnerships in a B2B SaaS environment, have a deep knowledge of the payment processing ecosystem and where partnerships can flourish in the payment landscape, and have a strategic mindset when it comes to identifying new adjacencies and value. This role will collaborate with Product, Sales, Success, and other stakeholders to develop and implement partnership strategies that create new value, drive pipeline growth, increase revenue, and boost the adoption of our core payment solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Partner Ecosystem Development
- Responsible for researching and identifying best in class partners to add value to the Ministry Brands partner ecosystem and client offering specific to payment processing and channel partnerships
- Responsible for negotiating best possible win-win relationships with partners, providing ongoing revenue opportunities and value-added functionality for clients
- Work with key stakeholders to nurture and iteratively strengthen partnerships; coordinating and overseeing collaboration between sales, marketing and success teams
- Develop and implement effective partner offering positioning strategies based on market trends, competitive analysis, and customer insights
- Help to build payment bundles to be offered in collaboration with other Ministry Brands offerings
- Define unique value propositions for each partner offering within the Ministry Brands ecosystem
- Work with Marketing and Sales Enablement to develop collateral, landing page content, etc. that best represents the partner offering
- Work closely with subject matter experts and the content team to develop high-quality thought leadership, including whitepapers, case studies, blog posts, presentations, and more
- Lead and execute commercialization and go-to-market plans for payment solution product launches and feature updates
- Collaborate with marketing and sales to develop and execute integrated campaigns that drive demand and generate leads
- Have responsibility for driving a payment partnership annual growth target
- Work with leadership to provide accurate and achievable goals for measuring success of partnerships
- Work with pre-defined clients to better understand how they benefit from the partner offering, how they use it in their business, and if there are pain points or wish-list items they would like to have addressed
- Understand and utilize key metrics to drive growth including CAC, ARR, EBITDA, churn, and product specific KPI's
- Passionate about social good and enthusiastic about helping purpose driven organizations
- Bachelor's degree in Business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 8+ years of experience in partners/alliances, business development, or similar roles in a B2B environment
- 5+ years of experience in working within vendor and B2B payment processing environments, including payfacs, and merchant banking
- Strategic thinker with a proven track record of leading and delivering results in high growth environments
- Ability to influence a wide audience at all levels and to work cross-functionally, partnering across Marketing, Sales, Product Management, Onboarding, and Success
- Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to develop win/win agreements that drive results
- Experience navigating matrixed organizations
- Outstanding analytical capabilities and attention to detail - constantly analyzing results and seeking continuous improvement
- Ability to work independently, make decisions, and navigate complexities in a rapidly growing environment
- Ability to work in a general office environment
- Ability to handle extended periods of computer-based work, including telephone
- Ability to work flexible and long hours, as needed, including outside regular business hours and days
- Domestic and/or international travel required, estimated up to 25%
