Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education: Graduate of Allopathic or Osteopathic Medical School. Completion of internship and psychiatric residency and/or fellowship training.

License/Certifications:

  • Current and valid licensure as a physician by the Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine or eligible.
  • Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, or be eligible for examination by the American Board as documented by written evidence.
  • Board Certified or board eligible in general psychiatry. Current DEA Registration Certificate.

Experience: 3+ years' experience inclusive residency and/or fellowship training. Meet other credentialing criteria defined in Medical Staff By-laws

MBH is Northern New England's leading integrated behavioral healthcare system, serving predominantly southern, western, central, and Mid-Coast Maine. It is composed of southern Maine's only nonprofit psychiatric hospital, eight multi-disciplinary outpatient clinics, crisis services, crisis stabilization units, partial hospital and intensive outpatient treatment, as well as four ACT teams.
