Speech Language Pathologist, CCC-SLP

Job Type: Part-Time

Hourly: $40-$55 an hour (based on requirements/qualifications)

Our Speech Language Pathologists are key members of the therapeutic team at Positive Development. They workin collaboration withOccupational Therapists and Mental Health Clinicianstoprovide a truedevelopmental andtrans-disciplinary approachof excellenceto children and their families.

We are seeking an authentic, joyful,growth-mindedSpeech-Language Pathologist to join our growing team.

Daily Responsibilities Include:

  • Uponintake;review each child's assessmentsand other relateddocumentationto determine the child's current needs.
  • Provide an initial Speech Language Pathology evaluation for each child, as needed, in consultation with the Senior SLP Clinician.
  • Collaborate with the clinical teamto create atreatment plan for each child,includingidentifying specific speech & language relatedgoals.
  • Providedirect speech & language servicesto autistic children utilizingadevelopmentalapproach to work towards each child's goals and to strengthen developmental foundations.
  • Monitor each child's progresson an ongoing basis. Record session notes in the child's Electronic Health Record and communicate progressto other members of the team, including the parents.
  • Participate in team meetingsand ongoing supervision.
  • Provideongoingmentoring and support to new SLPs as they join the team.

Requirements:

  • Speech-Language Pathology license in the State of New Jersey
  • Strong desire to learn the Developmental Model through training,observationand reflection
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral
  • Passion for working with children on the autism spectrum
  • Ability to work seamlessly and respectfully on a trans-disciplinary team
  • Flexible schedule

Education:

  • Master's in Speech Language Pathology

License/Certification:

  • Active state SLP license
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • ASHA certification

Medical Specialty:

  • Pediatrics

Setting:

  • Outpatient clinic

This role would start as part-time with the opportunity to move to full-time as soon as the caseload builds to that level.
