Description: Maintenance Technician Job Summary: Support installation and service of robots and robotic systems by providing technical assistance. This includes setup, programming, troubleshooting and repairing robots and peripheral devices. Repair machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, injection molding production machines, auxiliary equipment and facilities by performing the following duties. Essential Job Functions: • Install, startup and debug of the system/unit being installed. Support the installation through buyoff and customer acceptance. • Provide prompt, professional and courteous solutions to customer problems. Be able to troubleshoot problems, secure any needed parts. • Process any necessary paperwork with detailed descriptions of the problem(s) found. • Robotic Programming experience preferred. • Knowledge of PLC programming. • Ability to read and interpret documents including electrical and pneumatics blueprints. • Experience with robot mechanical, controller, gripper and work-cell repairs. • Proficient in advanced mechanical assemblies, sensor technology, pneumatics and vision setups/adjustments. • Previous experience with automation, robot controls and vision systems highly preferred. • Must be able to report to work as scheduled and on time. • Other duties may be assigned. Skills and/or Competencies: • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. • Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics and geometry. • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. • Robotic Programming: 10+ years' experience preferred. • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Be able to operate an Forklift and maintain a Forklift license.
