Responsibilities
Sugical Technician II will assists in patient care and preparation of surgical patients; performs scrub duties and related procedures; accountable for ensuring cleaning and maintenance of supplies and equipment for selected specialty. Performs in the advanced roles of preceptor, service specialist and instrument room liaison.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Required:

High School Diploma/GED
-
Certified Surgical Technician (CST) or Tech in Surgery – Certified(TS-C) or must qualify for grandfathering under Department ofState Health Services-Health and Safety Code Title 4 Subtitle BChapter 259
-
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) with American Heart Association
-
Two (2) years of experience

This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
