JOB SUMMARY

Provide supervision and care to infants and children within the childcare services and education room programs at Eva's Village.

JOB DUTIES

  1. Maintain daily open communication with parents and supervisor
  2. Maintain confidentiality
  3. Report any suspect abuse to supervisor
  4. Arrange a classroom environment in accordance with program goals and philosophy
  5. Maintain a safe and healthy environment
  6. Attend to daily feeding, nap, and activity schedule
  7. Attend to daily cleaning procedures of center
  8. Update and follow appropriate records such as attendance, individual childcare needs, and daily activities
  9. Attend in-service and staff meetings


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent

Child Development Associate Credential or ability to obtain credential within 6 months of hire

Or associate degree in related field or non-related field with experience. Or

Bachelor's degree in related field or non-related field with experience.

EXPERIENCE: Enjoys working with children

Exhibits patience and attention to detail

Babysitting or day care experience preferred

Ability to work evenings as needed

Excellent social skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Intermittent sitting and standing throughout shift
