Job Summary:We are seeking either a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic urgent care team. If you are passionate about providing high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment, we want to hear from you As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in our urgent care setting, you will provide comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages. You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide variety of conditions, perform minor procedures, and ensure the highest standard of patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history taking, physical exams, and ordering diagnostic tests.
- Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, infections, and injuries.
- Perform minor procedures such as suturing, splinting, and incision and drainage.
- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members as needed.
- Provide patient education regarding health, wellness, and follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in CA.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an urgent care or emergency care setting preferred.
- Proficient in minor procedures (e.g., suturing, splinting), x-ray interpretation and ECG interpretation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- ACLS/BLS certification required.
- Strong commitment to teamwork and patient-centered care.
- Flexible Scheduling: up to 12-hour shifts
