[SC00] The Analyst position will be within the income tax accounting group of the Tax Department and will report to the Manager, Tax Accounting. This position is remote and will be based out of the Akron, OH Corporate Office, with occasional travel into the office as needed. Responsibilities include: Performing various accounting and analytical tasks to support calculation of the income tax provision, including preparing journal entries for monthly and quarterly closing and documentation relating to financial reporting and internal control functions Compiling and analyzing data necessary to support the preparation and filing of federal and state income tax returns Compiling and analyzing data necessary to support the preparation and filing of various regulatory reports and/or rate cases Reconciling various tax accounts as needed Taking initiative to solve problems and bring issues to closure Collaborating openly and honestly as part of a team Demonstrating a commitment to excellence Acting with integrity in all aspects of the job Promoting a diverse and inclusive working environment Demonstrating a willingness to question established procedures and processes Demonstrating sound internal and external customer service Consistently anticipating and delivering results Proactively working to ensure knowledge is transferred to others Demonstrating a solid commitment to all aspects of safety; maintaining a safe workplace for coworkers based upon knowledge of potential hazards and industry regulations/requirements Qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or comparable degree with Accounting minor or specialization, required.
