Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AIX/Linux admin. with demonstrated ability in Linux AIX Administration and IBM DB2 LUW DB Admin. The ideal candidate will have a good background in Cards and Payments domain ensuring the stability and efficiency of our infrastructure. This role is crucial for maintaining our systems integrity and supporting our business operations.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise the administration and maintenance of Linux and AIX systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Provide expert-level support for IBM DB2 LUW databases ensuring data integrity and availability.
  • Implement and manage system security measures to protect sensitive data and align with industry standards.
  • Monitor system performance and solve issues to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to support infrastructure needs and project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations procedures and fix guides.
  • Lead the planning and execution of system upgrades and patches to keep infrastructure up-to-date.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to Cards and Payments.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members to develop skill development.
  • Conduct regular system audits and generate reports to track performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure business continuity.
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate support for hardware and software issues.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to recommend improvements and innovations.
Qualifications
  • Possess extensive experience in Linux and AIX system administration.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in IBM DB2 LUW database administration.
  • Have a solid understanding of the Cards and Payments domain.
  • Exhibit excellent problem-solving and fix skills.
  • Show ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Display good communication and documentation skills.
  • Demonstrate experience in implementing security measures and ensuring compliance.
  • Have a proactive approach to system monitoring and maintenance.
  • Show capability to lead projects and handle upgrades effectively.
