Job Title: Human Resources Receptionist

Reports to: Managing Director of Human Resources

Dept/School: Administration Building

Work Year: 226 days

Base Salary: Actual salary will be calculated based on experience.

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Serve as the initial contact for visitors entering the Human Resources (HR) office. Greet and direct visitors to the appropriate areas. Serve as the primary phone operator for the HR office and provide general office assistance.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
High school diploma or GED

Special Knowledge/Skills:
Proficient typing and word processing skills
Working knowledge of office equipment, such as copiers, scanners, fax, and computers
Knowledge of multi-line phone system
Excellent interpersonal skills in order to ensure positive relations with all patrons
Ability to work in a multi-task environment
High degree of ethical behavior and confidentiality

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Prepare written correspondence, forms and reports using personal computer.
Assist visitors as needed.
Receive incoming calls, take reliable messages and route to appropriate staff.
Maintain confidentiality.
Operate office equipment.
Deliver mail and packages to Human Resources from the mail room.
Perform other duties as assigned.

OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED:
Frisco ISD retains the right to adjust the responsibilities and assignments of all positions as needed to meet the needs of the District.

Maintain emotional control under stress. Work with frequent interruptions. Prolonged use of computer. Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting. Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching. Occasional light lifting and carrying.
