Chief Purpose of this position: The Department of Internal Medicine is seeking a Rheumatologist for a clinician faculty position within theDivision of Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology at Virginia CommonwealthUniversity.

Position Responsibilities:

Teaching | This position will be activelyinvolved in the education and training of the Rheumatology fellows.
  • Provideteaching service to learners, including medical students, interns andresidents
  • Usecontemporary adult learning methods to promote evidence-based practice
  • Demonstrateeffective teaching skills and continually develop as a teacher for learners atall levels
  • Completerequired evaluations of learners in a timely manner - including but not limitedto written and verbal feedback
  • Participatein other learning activities such as foundations of clinical medicine, morningreport, core conference, and other formal educational programs forundergraduate and post-graduate learners
Clinical | Will provide exemplary care in thearea of Rheumatology- in outpatient ambulatory clinics and on consult services.
Candidates should be Board certified inRheumatology and in Internal Medicine.

Required Qualifications:
  • Qualified applicants for this position should have demonstratedboth scholarly and clinical abilities through patient care, teaching andclinical research
  • Candidates should be Board certified in Rheumatology and inInternal Medicine
  • Candidates must demonstrate experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU
