Job Description

Join our team as a Pharmacist I, where you will play a crucial role in reviewing members’ Utilization Management (UM) requests, including formulary exceptions, prior authorization, step therapy, and quantity limit exceptions. Using client-specific criteria, you will determine the approval or denial of these requests. This position requires keen attention to detail, clinical judgment, and effective communication skills, as you will regularly interact with both providers and members. All new pharmacists are viewed as potential long-term team members, with opportunities for permanent employment, though timelines for conversion cannot be guaranteed. Contracts are reviewed every 6 months.

Hard Skills

  • Two (2) years of work experience in retail, managed care, or clinical pharmacy

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science Pharmacy degree

  • Current pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy in the state where the position is located
