Job Description:

  • Schedules, coordinates, and instructs various structured training sessions and seminars for store operations personnel; maintains database of class participants; submits names of participants who attend sales training to the Payroll Department; coordinates lodging/room reservations for participants as necessary.
  • Maintains and updates Farmers Academy information on training participants; informs training participants on detailed lesson plans and training objectives; calculates test scores.
  • Coordinates the scheduling of “Field Training Sessions” with merchandisers/vendors to conduct product demonstrations; ensures lodging/room arrangements are made.
  • Coordinates special promotions, rallies, contests, etc. for corporate and retail store locations.
  • Maintains an awareness of new products, trends, and advances in the profession; reads professional literature and trade publications; attends departmental meetings as necessary.
  • Leads sales training by balancing instruction on policies and procedures with practical application in a live store environment; creating and implementing new business methods/practices that may be executed in measurable steps; ensuring corporate sales training develops an annual sales contest strategy through effective training that promotes motivation for increased annual sales volumes; establishes and maintains department budget ensuring company funds are spent appropriately.
