The Quality Technician II works u nder the direction of the Quality Supervisor - Equipment . T he Quality Technician II will perform tasks as necessary in the planning, testing and specification adherence of Calgon Carbon Corporation products. The worker will perform all assigned duties in compliance with all company and safety policies and procedures

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)

  • Issue inspection reports on equipment shipped from the Plant where required and received by the Plant such as "returned" service equipment
  • Performs pre-shipment inspections of completed projects
  • Verify overall appearance, checks packing lists and documents the shipment using pictures.
  • Responsible for performing customer complaint investigations, including reporting findings, implementing and maintaining corrective actions, and updating the complaint database
  • Additional assignments as necessary in the shop or in production office such as BOM development
  • Travels as required to vendor facilities ensuring products meet specifications established by Calgon Carbon Corporation and its customers
  • Ensures post-inspection corrections and documentation are completed
  • Maintains knowledge of specifications. Provides written reports of results
  • Ensures Bloomfield's compliance with ASME section 8 Div 1 code program, including Weld maps, MTR material releases, X-ray identification, etc
  • Assists with "in-house" inspections such as hydro-testing, NDE, weld quality, and incoming equipment and parts inspections
  • Monitor and verify quality control requirements by performing audits of all equipment fabricated and refurbished at or for facility

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
  • One year certificate from college or technical school is preferred
  • Driver's License is required
  • 2-3 years Quality Control in an equipment fabrication environment is required
  • Lining, Coating, Welding, and ASME Knowledge is preferred
  • NACE Certification is preferred
  • Welding/Fabrication experience is preferred
