The successful candidate will work in a machine operator lab setting, performing a range of tasks that includes inspecting and measuring parts using calipers, gauges, and microscopes. You will be performing documentation in a cloud platform and Microsoft Excel, and your day-to-day tasks will be quite repetitive. You will also be trained to operate a CMM machine and a diamond turning machine, while also performing tests on a variety of products and troubleshooting and diagnosing issues in collaboration with the team. This is a contract-to-hire position with a pay rate of $18-$19 per hour. Hard Skills Inspecting and measuring parts using calipers, gauges, and microscopes Documentation in cloud platform and Microsoft Excel Operating CMM machine Operating diamond turning machine Performing tests on various products Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues Soft Skills High attention to detail Computer skills / data entry Mechanical aptitude Job Type This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 18 Week(s). Work Site This is a fully on-site position in NA, Ohio. Work Environment You will be working in a clean room lab type of environment. This is a small, close-knit department with only 3 other employees. The temperature remains a constant 68 degrees, but it may feel cold due to the constant airflow needed to keep the machines calibrated properly. The area is very well lit to facilitate quality inspection. Comfort is key – you can wear sweatshirts and listen to music while you work. No steel toe boots are required.
