Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Forklift Operator to join our team at 84 Lumber. As a key member of our warehouse staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient loading and unloading of lumber and building supplies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build Loads for Deliveries: Safely and accurately construct loads for delivery to customers, taking into account weight, size, and other factors.
  • Maintain a Safe and Clean Workspace: Ensure the lumber yard and warehouse are well-organized, clean, and free from hazards.
  • Operate a Forklift: Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to move lumber and building supplies around the yard and warehouse.
  • Unload and Load Lumber: Safely and efficiently unload lumber and building supplies from trucks and load them onto pallets or into storage areas.
  • Communicate with Management: Keep management informed of any delays, discrepancies, or issues that may impact operations.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required.
  • Forklift Certification: Required.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with management and other team members.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately and safely perform tasks.
