A well rounded pharmacist who will be expected to function as an independent, frontline healthcare provider by interacting with patients, pharmacy staff, and members of multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Safely and accurately treat patients by critically reviewing clinical status and available therapeutic options. Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, monitor drug therapy, and intervene when clinically necessary by modifying therapy or consulting with prescribers to recommend alternatives. Identify performance improvement opportunities and work on projects Be able to cover various areas and shifts including unit based activities, IV compounding, and clinical monitoring. Prepare intravenous admixtures and oversee the pharmacy technicians to compound, package, and label medications to be dispensed. Assist in the development and implementation of new inpatient and ambulatory care pharmacy programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

2-3 years hospital pharmacy experience and/or PGY-1 residency preferred. Pharmacotherapy or other relevant Board Certification preferred or willing to obtain within 1 year of eligibility. New York State Pharmacist license
