Located in the heart of a diverse urban area, Temple Health is acutely aware of the impact of the national systemic problems related to the lack of health equity and access to affordable, culturally responsive healthcare. In response, Temple Health works to address issues that promote health equity through education, care delivery, workforce development, and research. We recognize that an environment enriched with persons from varied backgrounds working to address health disparity enhances scholarly work and the development of a culturally aware and responsive healthcare workforce.
The Opportunity:
The Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Temple Health is recruiting a board eligible/certified surgeon for a full time faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank. The Division has a busy open and endovascular practice with full access to state-of-the-art technology including hybrid OR suites. The Division also has an ACGME-approved two-year vascular fellowship. Successful applicants should possess advanced open and endovascular skills in a broad spectrum of vascular diseases involving the thoracic and abdominal aorta, carotid and other aortic branch vessels, extremity PAD, venous system, AV access, and possibly TOS. Able to successfully communicate with and collaborate across surgical and medical specialties.
Applicants must possess the following: a MD or DO with ACGME-accredited vascular integrated residency or vascular fellowship training; academic credentials that will qualify for a faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor; and eligibility to obtain an unrestricted medical license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Highlights:
• Diverse practice settings at Temple main and across the Philadelphia area, recognized expertise in limb salvage, close affiliation with FCCC for vascular oncologic needs, oversight of busy vascular diagnostic laboratory, active community outreach program, leadership in vascular education
• Temple Health offers potential candidates a team-oriented, collaborative practice environment emphasizing quality patient care, research, education, individual career development, and collegiality among vascular division members.
• The faculty is committed to the mission of providing the highest level of surgical care to all patients while striving for research and academic excellence and advancement.
In addition to a competitive salary and comprehensive suite of benefits - including a generous 403b retirement match, health, dental, vision, life, malpractice, tuition remission, CME, and more - the position offers a uniquely supportive practice environment strengthened by Temple's mission-driven culture to provide and promote world-class equitable patient care, research, and medical education. The program also provides mentorship opportunities for new faculty. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
