Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develops, coordinates, manages, facilitates, conducts, and evaluates onboarding and orientation programs for clinical personnel including transition-to-practice programs for novice or new graduate clinicians.

  • Develops, coordinates, manages, facilitates, conducts, and evaluates initial and ongoing competency programs for clinical personnel.

  • Designs, implements, and evaluates educational activities and programs based on identified practice gaps for a specific target audience.

  • Identifies, develops, and implements strategies to facilitate a continuous process of growth through lifelong learning including, but not limited to role transition, role integration, skill acquisition and skill mastery.

  • Clearly convey information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.

  • Collaborates and builds relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required

  • Graduate or professional work or advanced degree preferred

  • Minimum 3-5 years of related clinical and/or nursing experience required

  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association) required

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (American Heart Association) required

  • PALS instructor certification required or within 6 months of employment

  • National specialty certification appropriate for area(s) of responsibility preferred

  • Documentation of previous teaching experience preferred
