The Arc Central Chesapeake Region (The Arc) supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to live, work, and connect with their community.
Financial analytics is crucial for driving informed decision-making by providing insights into an organization's financial health and performance. By analyzing trends, forecasting outcomes, and identifying inefficiencies, financial analysts help optimize resource allocation and enhance profitability. Their work supports strategic planning, risk management, and the achievement of long-term financial goals.
The Financial Analyst will provide technical assistance and analytical support to the Vice President of Finance and the Finance Division on projects related to service expansion, housing initiatives, revenue cycle management, and ongoing budget oversight. This role will also contribute to the success of the annual audit, special audits, reviews, and compliance-related activities. The Financial Analyst will work collaboratively with program leadership and Finance team members to support The Arc's strategic goals and objectives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to manage complex financial processes while driving efficiency and accuracy. They will develop, document, and continuously refine accounting procedures, policies, and systems to enhance financial controls and streamline business processes. The candidate will manage ongoing and ad hoc finance projects, perform data reconciliations, and collaborate with leadership to review, audit, and prepare comprehensive financial reports.
Qualifications
This position requires bachelor's degree in business administration or related field and three years of senior accountant level experience required, with skills in facilitation of complicated, in-depth analyses on financial activities of the organization using Excel and modeling software. CPA/CMA and MBA would be a plus, and experience with DDA, Medicaid funding, and housing related accounting strongly preferred.
