CareSTL Health is seeking full-time a Registration Clerk responsible for completing the patient registration process by collecting patient demographic information and insurance coverage.

Duties:

  • Determines appropriate fees based on a sliding fee scale and establishes payment plans
  • Scans documents into patients' electronic record
  • Verifies and documents all forms of insurance coverage and maintains appropriate information in patient's electronic record
  • Interviews patients and document necessary demographic information as well as review appropriate policies and regulations including HIPAA
  • Prepares daily deposits and reconciles tally sheets

A Successful Candidate:

  • Good computer skills including MS Office Suite is required
  • Ability to type at least 30 wpm with 80% accuracy or better required

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: 1-2 years experience in a health care setting as a Registration Clerk or related field. 1-2 years experience in customer service which included the collection of data.
  • Other: Must have reliable transportation.
