Description

The Key Holder position is a supporting member of our management team. You are responsible for providing every customer with a great experience. You would also assist with, and be knowledgeable in, all store operations, including opening and closing procedures. This position is a great first step in growing your leadership skills for a future career in management. The ideal candidate will have previous retail or customer service experience. All applicants must be available to work a combination of opening/closing shifts and weekends.

Essential Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

• Ensure that each Guest receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of service.
• Train, develop and communicate with all staff as well as assess performance on a regular basis.
• Maintain all merchandising standards, display presentation, signage standards and monitor inventory levels.
• Assist in planning, assigning daily goals, tasks and assignments for employees. Assure proper completion through follow-up.
• Assist in monitoring sales performance through comparison shopping, competitive threats, and customer inquiries. Assist in adjusting strategies when needed.
• Assist management in office tasks including management of inventory and timecards.
• Maintain an awareness of all product knowledge information, merchandise promotions, and advertisements.
• Assist in floor moves, restocking merchandising, display maintenance and store housekeeping.
• Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions, maintain proper cash levels at POS registers, and adhere to the close out procedures at end of day.

• The ability and willingness to work a flexible retail schedule which includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous leadership or management experience, minimum of one year.
• The ability to wear western boots while working.
• Strong social and communication skills that make customers feel welcome in our store.
• A strong commitment to customer service and teamwork.
• A High school diploma or GED.
• The ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation.

• Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area.
• Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store.
• Ability to climb ladders, when needed to retrieve stock.
• Ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing 0-60 pounds.
