Summary:

At East River Medical Imaging, our mission is to consistently provide the highest quality and availability of diagnostic imaging with compassion and comfort for our patients. Each of our physicians is certified by the American Board of Radiology. Together, they represent all areas of sub-specialty medical imaging, including cross-sectional, musculoskeletal, oncologic and neuroradiology. We are currently seeking a full-time Front Desk Associate to join our team. The Front desk associate is the first person that our patients encounter when visiting our locations, and it's critical that you are helpful, warm, and inviting. You'll be responsible for monitoring the flow of people entering the office and managing a heavy patient volume, providing relevant information and directing patients and visitors as appropriate.

Shift: Varies

Duties:

  • Build a strong rapport with patients from a variety of backgrounds through strong communication and empathy
  • Maintain a positive attitude and a professional appearance
  • Exhibit the ability to multitask without being overwhelmed
  • Payment processing including running insuring estimates
  • Update patient information including contact information and in system
  • Ensuring insurance authorizations are in place
  • Ensuring patients are cleared all exams including but not limited to CT, MRI, PET/Nuke scans, Xray, Sonograms
  • Other Duties as assigned

Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma and 2 years college experience or 2 years' experience in healthcare or combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of basic insurance and medical terminology
  • Knowledge and adherence to HIPAA laws and compliance regulations

  • Ability to work with a minimum of supervision while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Word, RIS-IC, PACs, Royal solutions.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
