Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, Associates Degree Preferred
  • Possess excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to interact positively with school/community and to work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to interact appropriately with children
  • Ability to follow all child care center licensing requirements as defined by the State of Michigan
  • Communicates effectively in written and verbal form
  • Be capable of bending, lifting, and overhead work as well as physically able to stand two (2) or more hours at a time.
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • The ability to multitask in a fast paced environment

Essential Functions:
  • Assists with front office operations
  • Greets parents and builds a rapport with them
  • Provides a positive and timely customer service experience when answering the main phone line, directing calls as needed and relaying messages to the needed
  • Engages with children when in the presence of children
  • Follows all school and licensing procedures to safeguard health and safety of the children, including hand washing, appropriate sanitary measures, playground safety rules, and rules regarding the use of supplies and equipment.
  • Remains knowledgeable about information forms and emergency procedures; checks identification of unknown persons picking up children from the program.
  • Is knowledgeable of fire, tornado, or other emergency procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the school principal.

MESPA I Master Agreement, Classification I
New Hires: Starting Salary $15.00 - $20.20 per hour (Based on experience)
